14th Mar 2010

Anthony Walker recipient of the ADC Bioscientific, Sally Donaldson Memorial Travel Award

Anthony Walker, from the University of Sheffield became the first ever recipient of the Sally Donaldson Memorial Travel Award.

The award of 600 pounds was set up in memory of Sally Donaldson, one of the founders of ADC BioScientific who sadly passed away in December 2007.

Anthony was presented with the award for his visit to the prestigious Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the USA.

There he will develop his research on plant responses to short term oscillating elevated CO2 concentrations.

A report from Anthony, on the work carried out, will be posted here in the next few months.

Four other high calibre applicants were rewarded with 50 pounds worth of book tokens.

ADC would like to thank all the young students who took the time to apply
