ADC unveils the ultra-portable OS1p

ADC BioScientific is proud to announce that it has expanded its range of Chlorophyll Fluorometers with the new OS1p. The OS1p is the first ultra-compact portable chlorophyll fluorometer with the ability to calculate over 15 different test parameters. Scaled from the company's field-proven OS5p Advanced Fluorometer, the OS1p offers a variety of fast tests, with the capacity for 12 hours of continuous operation from a single charge.
Within ADC’s range of Chlorophyll Fluorometers, the OS5p provides the widest range of testing protocols and 20 hours battery life, while the hand-held OS30p is specialized as an ultra-compact fluorometer weighing just 0.5kg. The OS1p provides a true marriage of these technologies with 150% of the battery life of the OS30p at just 61% of the weight of the OS5p. This allows users to enjoy advanced fluorescence analysis, even in research encompassing hundreds of samples or when the instrument must be carried to remote field sites.
In addition to outstanding performance for extended runtime operations, the OS1p offers users the ability to perform a number of fast tests including Quantum Photosynthetic Yield, Fv/Fm, Quenching relaxation and Rapid light curves to analyse these stresses. All measurements, tests and results are presented on the large, colour display, which features improved graph presentation. All programming is through the touch-screen, making operation pleasant and intuitive.
